Contemporary Computers is a boutique managed IT services company that supports over 100 businesses across the Greater Toronto Area. Our clients range from industrial and manufacturing companies to law firms, healthcare providers, and design firms.
We’re looking for a Wiring Specialist who genuinely enjoys hands-on, physical work and takes pride in building clean, reliable infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who prefers working with their hands—running cable, building racks, and executing structured installs—while being part of a broader technical team.

What You’ll Be Working On:- Structured cabling (ethernet, fiber optic) and labeling
- Network rack builds, patch panels, and cable management
- Installation of switches, access points, and physical infrastructure
- Wireless and VoIP deployments
- Supporting onsite IT deployments and infrastructure projects
We also work across broader technical areas including:- IT Managed Services
- IT Auditing and IT Security Auditing
- Networking: IP services, VoIP, design, and deployment
- Server deployment and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Cloud and hosted infrastructure
- Custom solutions (Raspberry Pi, microelectronics, integrated systems)
- Data recovery and hardware repair
Key Responsibilities:- Execute clean, professional cabling and infrastructure installations
- Maintain high standards in labeling, organization, and documentation
- Work onsite at client locations across the GTA
- Collaborate with technicians on deployments and problem-solving
- Take ownership of your work and follow through to completion

Technical Requirements:- Experience with structured cabling and installations
- Basic networking knowledge (IPv4, switches, VLANs – asset)
- Familiarity with tools and installation practices
Bonus:- Fiber optic termination
- Experience with Unifi, Cisco Meraki, or similar
- General IT troubleshooting
