The Workday Architect is the enterprise design authority for Loblaw’s Workday HR ecosystem. This role is central to the evolution of People Technology, ensuring that Workday operates as a stable, scalable, secure, and well-architected enterprise platform across the full employee lifecycle. The Workday Architect is a hands-on Workday expert, a strategic thought partner, and a builder of future capability. This individual brings deep technical mastery across nearly every facet of Workday, from complex calculated fields and condition rules to end-to-end configuration across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Security, Integrations, and Reporting. Operating as a senior individual contributor, this role influences outcomes through architecture governance, design authority, and technical leadership rather than people management.
This role not only ensures that Workday operates as a stable, scalable, and well-architected enterprise technology platform, they also help shape the long-term vision for People Technology at Loblaw.

What You’ll DoEnterprise Architecture & Design AuthorityOwn and evolve the enterprise Workday HCM architecture, standards, and patterns across all in-scope modules. Review and approve solution designs to ensure alignment to enterprise architecture, security standards, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Solution Review Board (SRB) LeadershipEstablish and chair the Workday Solution Review Board (SRB), defining intake thresholds, required design artifacts, decision rights, and exception handling. Ensure significant changes are reviewed and approved before build begins.
Change & Release GovernanceServe as the Workday architectural representative at Change Advisory Board (CAB), providing risk and impact assessments for releases, integrations, security changes, and production deployments, including rollback and monitoring readiness.
