The most effective support you can offer a struggling 8-year-old is maintaining the standard. If that concept unsettles you, this position won't be a fit. If it resonates, continue reading.
Alpha has dismantled conventional instruction. Academic learning happens through adaptive applications at each student's individual pace. No classroom lectures. No arbitrary grade-level limits. What remains—and what proves most critical—is what technology cannot provide: life skills development, intrinsic motivation, and an adult who upholds a standard every student believes is beyond their reach. That responsibility is yours.
You might begin your day analyzing Coachbot data with a Guide, identifying precisely where a cohort is falling short. By lunch you're facilitating a live session with K-8 students, executing a structured activity on public speaking or constructive feedback. Afternoons transition to motivation work: reviewing individual student progress data, activating Alpha's incentive architecture (school currency, leaderboards), and re-engaging a reluctant 7th grader. Forty percent facilitation, thirty percent motivation, thirty percent coaching. You maintain your own student cohort throughout, ensuring your coaching remains rooted in direct practice rather than theory.
You've likely heard you're overly results-oriented for the education field. Too metric-focused. Too willing to enforce boundaries that make colleagues uneasy. Alpha was designed for precisely that mindset. You demonstrate the model's effectiveness with your own students, elevate the Guides (Alpha's teacher equivalent) to the same standard, and as you produce outcomes, your authority over campus-wide program quality expands.
Maintain the standard. Transform the student. Apply now.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one-hour live sessions on life skills (public speaking, focus, giving and receiving feedback) for K-8 students, executing Alpha's structured playbook
- Conducting motivation sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive architecture (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal completion
- Coaching Guides on fidelity to program standards and accountability enforcement, with each session yielding specific improvement actions
- Managing your own student cohort to ensure your coaching remains anchored in direct, firsthand experience
- Monitoring student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance data weekly to identify underperformance early
What You Won’t Be Doing- Teaching mathematics, literacy, or any academic content — adaptive applications manage all academic instruction
- Designing curriculum or creating workshop activities from scratch (Alpha's playbook is your framework; excellence lies in execution)
- Coaching Guides on instructional methodology (Guides don't instruct — you're coaching motivation, energy, and accountability)
- Overseeing campus operations, financial management, or administrative processes
- Lowering standards when a student is nearly there but hasn't met the mark (the standard remains constant; your role is to help them reach it)
