OverviewMake an impact by providing light assistance to a wheelchair user(s) with a disability, including helping in physical rehab process, contribute to organizational accessibility initiatives, and gain a broader understanding for the accessibility world.
This is a casual, fast-paced and meaningful role that we are seeking multiple people to fill. This role is ideal for individuals with strong interpersonal skills who enjoy helping others.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide light assistance with daily activities
- Assist with respiratory device setup and monitoring (full training provided)
- Support ongoing rehabilitation routines and mobility-related tasks
- Assistance with events
Additional Opportunity (not mandatory)- Assist with business initiatives, gain experience working on a startup
- Develop experience in client-building, project management, executive assistance
Ideal Volunteer:- Friendly, outgoing, and compassionate with a strong sense of empathy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and able to follow instructions
- Previous experience not required; working in retail, service, or hospitality is an asset
