The RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and client-focused Account Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will manage a portfolio of insurance accounts, serve as the primary point of contact for clients, handle policy renewals and servicing, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, responding promptly to inquiries on coverage, billing, claims support, and policy changes.
- Manage policy renewals end-to-end: gather client information, prepare submissions, market accounts to carriers, negotiate terms, and present options.
- Review client insurance needs, identify gaps or opportunities, and recommend appropriate coverage enhancements or new products.
- Process endorsements, certificates of insurance, policy changes, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and carrier partners.
- Assist with claims coordination and advocate for clients throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate records in our management system and ensure compliance with RIBO regulations and brokerage standards.
- Support new business opportunities and contribute to client retention and portfolio growth.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality service and meet brokerage goals.
What You Bring- RIBO License (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) in good standing — required
- 2+ years of experience in insurance account management, client service, or brokerage operations (commercial or personal lines experience is an an asset).
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, coverages, renewals, and the Canadian insurance market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you’re comfortable building rapport with clients and negotiating with carriers.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with insurance management systems (e.g., Applied, Powerbroker) and Microsoft Office.
- A customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Nice-to-have: Experience with hospitality, liability, or commercial accounts; additional designations (e.g., CIP, CAIB); or bilingual skills.

Salary Range: $46,000 – $60,000 per year (depending on experience and book management responsibilities) plus commission.
