Job DetailsThe City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Planning and Development department as an Administrative Assistant II. Reporting to the Financial Officer, this position focuses on providing administrative and project support to the department.
Qualifications- High School Diploma combined with three years of related experience.
- Completion of or working toward a post secondary administrative certificate program (such as an Office Administration Certificate or Applied Land Use Planning Certificate) is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and Access to Information Act (ATIA).
- Experience in the public sector or municipal government is preferred.
- Familiarity with Tempest and Agresso software is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
Hours of Work- We offer a compressed bi-weekly work schedule of 72 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).
- Benefit from flexible work hours by adjusting your start and end times by 30 or 60 minutes around our core hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Compensation- The wage ranges from $28.73 - $34.29 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
- Candidates not meeting the full qualifications may be considered for a development opportunity at a lower classification and salary.
