Mackenzie County is currently inviting applications for an Administrative Support – seasonal position. Generally, the term of this position will be from May – September. This position will be in both Fort Vermilion and in La Crete, however, the individual may be required to work in other areas of the municipality as per operational requirements. This is a seasonal unionized position with a 40 hour work week (8 hours per day) Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Director of Legislative and Support Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for:- Front counter coverage and customer service;
- Responding to inquiries and/or complaints in a professional and tactful manner;
- Refer telephone calls and distribution of internal and external County related mail to the appropriate departments;
- Verifying accuracy of daily bank deposits;
- Conducting and verifying that accurate receipts are completed for payments;
- Recording of receipts in General Ledger;
- Completion of water and sewer connection and disconnection forms;
- Post daily batches and file all documents in a timely manner;
- Ensure photocopiers, fax machines, and printers are stocked with paper;
- May be required to assist in other related areas/offices;
- Other duties as required.
Requirements for this position are:- Completion of Grade 12 Diploma;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint);
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Valid class 5 drivers’ licence;
- Evidence of successfully passing a police Criminal Record Check;
- Preference will be given to university/college students.
Wage Range:$21.49/hour – $24.04/hour
