Your Opportunity:The F&E Project Assistant provides administrative, logistical, and technical support to our F&E teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. They act as a key communication link between team members and stakeholders, managing documentation and coordinating daily activities. This posting is for a full-time, two-year term position with possible one year extension. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, document and project folder structure management, and administrative task based work in support of F&E project deliverables including but not limited to requisition and PO tracking, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, creating agendas, etc. This position works closely with the F&E Project Coordinator who is responsible for tracking FE progress against project schedules and deadlines, updating progress trackers, creating purchase requisitions and following up on action items and finances to keep projects within scope, budget and on schedule. This position provides back up coverage to the Department Timekeeper.

Required Qualifications:Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree or certificate in business or a related field is required. Experience: Previous experience (1-3 years) in project coordination or administration, in construction or procurement. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Tools: Familiarity with software MS Project Gantt Schedules, Teams and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:A candidate who is comfortable working in a high pressured, ever-changing work environment with strong critical thinking skills, who welcomes social interaction with colleagues is preferred. Some travel throughout the province including overnight for project deliverables, teambuilding, staff meetings and other day to day activities is required with this position. Travel in winter driving conditions included.
