After Market Supplier Quality Engineer(Hybrid - East GTA)

Our client, a global manufacturing company, is looking to hire an experienced After Market Quality Engineer. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for specifications, supplier evaluations and quality assurance for a line of after-market OEM parts.
Responsibilities:- Define and maintain technical specifications for a line of after market parts
- Lead the supplier evaluation process and ensure proper controls are in place for selected vendors.
- Conduct supplier audits, plant visits, work with other internal teams to establish the appropriate supplier score cars and performance review processes
- Work closely with procurement. Engineering, Supply Chain, and Warranty teams to ensure parts meet company safety, quality and warranty standards
- Monitor warranty trends, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Various other activates as required
Experience / Skills Required- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, quality or related)
- Working knowledge of MSA, SPC, FMEA, APQP/PPAP
- 5+ years exp in aftermarket product and supplier quality engineering
- Experience leading supplier audits, APQP and PPAP activities
- Experience writing technical engineering specifications for mechanical parts
- Experience with wear of machinery components (mechanical assemblies, rubber components, castings, forgings)
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Working experience with SAP or similar ERP system
