ROLE DESCRIPTIONWe are looking to add an Intermediate or Junior Consultant to support the following activities:
- Embrace and adhere to SLBC INC. Values – safety, quality, teamwork, respect, integrity
- Providing technical assistance to project managers on all projects across a wide range of asset and industry types
- Participation in workshops as a facilitator and/or recorder as necessary
- Development of technical reports and memorandum, workshop presentations and agendas
- Support project management to deliver projects safely, on time, scope, and on budget.
- Complete all assigned deliverables to a high quality and to high technical standards
- Work with other SLBC INC. staff and external contractors to successfully deliver projects
- Support proposal submissions and business development initiatives as required
- Take responsibility for personal development through research on best practices, participation in conferences, training, and education
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in routine consulting activities tracking billable time, communicating schedules, overseeing team members and sub-consultants.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic via total effort and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:- 2-8 years of progressive experience in asset management, infrastructure planning, or related consulting fields.
- Experience working on projects with municipalities, utilities, or public-sector organizations.
- Strong technical knowledge of asset management frameworks (e.g., ISO 55000, IIMM, etc.) and related tools/processes.
- Experience taking ownership of projects and delivering them to completion.
- Knowledge of decision support tools for maintenance management, capital planning, and enterprise asset management.
- Strong communication skills including writing technical documentation and presentation.
- Professional designations such as EIT, P.Eng., PMP, or IAM Certification are considered strong assets.
