We are seeking a self-motivated and polished Assistant Manager of Operations with work experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting staff and store operations, and ensure excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and advance within a wholesale environment. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager, maintaining operational standards, and supporting sales staff to promote a positive customer experience.
While prior experience in warehouse or retail is an asset, this position is open to motivated candidates from a wide range of industries who are looking to advance their careers and have a desire to be a part of the growth and development of a rapidly growing family business.
Responsibilities- Support the General Manager in daily operations, including maintaining strong customer relationships
- Support and assist sales and administrative staff to deliver exceptional customer service
- Assist with employee orientation, training, and development to foster a skilled and engaged workforce
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Manage warehouse inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising
- Assist with warehouse packing, unloading, and organization
- Maintain organizational efficiency through effective time management and communication skills
- Support marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and sales performance
Skills- Proven supervisory experience and responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead by example
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette, writing, and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity in retail math, POS systems, cash handling, and inventory management software
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and warehouse operations
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Willingness to help in all areas of operations
- Technical, mechanical, or construction experience is an asset
- Class D driver's license, or above, is an asset
This position does not require direct retail or warehouse experience, but experience in leadership and customer service is an asset.
