Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving issues across various vehicle systems. Duties- Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage, guide, and mentor a team of automotive technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality repairs.
- Customer Service Excellence: Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and service needs, ensuring a top-tier customer experience.
- Repair Shop Management: Oversee daily repair shop operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely completion of all jobs. Manage scheduling, job prioritization, and repair tracking.
- Resource Optimization: Maximize the use of tools, equipment, and manpower to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and ensure the most cost-effective repair processes.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that repairs meet the highest quality standards and adhere to industry regulations.
- Inventory & Parts Management: Ensure efficient inventory management to keep necessary parts in stock and prevent downtime due to parts shortages.
- Training & Development: Provide continuous training to mechanics to keep them updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair methods.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Track shop performance, generate reports, and provide insights for process improvement.
Qualifications:- Licensed Mechanic: Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., 310S License or equivalent) required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the automobile repair industry, with a
- minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Extensive Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and diagnostic techniques, with a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing a team of mechanics, including training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Customer-Focused: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset and the ability to address and resolve customer concerns effectively.
- Organizational Ability: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address repair issues effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with repair shop management software and diagnostic tools.
