COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Thoume Construction Ltd. is a family owned and operated site development and gravel supply company. For the past 55 years we have been servicing the Wellington County and Waterloo Region. James Thoume Construction provides excavating, grading, material supply and drainage services to a growing number of local customers.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and takes pride in their truck and their work.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 3+ years of experience driving tri-axle dump truck, tri-axle dump truck with pup or tag trailer and/or tractor trailer combination.
• Floating Construction equipment experience
• Clean drivers abstract
• Good Attitude and dependable attendance
• Ability to work well with others and represent the company professionally
• Takes pride in the maintenance and operation of their truck and trailer
• Knowledge of local roads, pits and job site conditions is an asset
• Experience in construction trucking is preferred

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Local material hauling for Thoume Construction Customers, including onsite
• Local material hauling for Thoume Construction Projects
• Safe operation of your truck onsite and on the roads
• Completing daily circle checks and keeping the truck clean and looked after
• Adhere to all Highway Traffic Act Regulations as well as Thoume Construction policies and procedures
• Follow all Gravel pit and construction site policies and procedures
• Co-Ordinating with Dispatch for a smooth daily operation
• Working long hours, 5 days a week and sometimes Saturdays as needed

This position is for someone who can handle variety of trucking work, work safely, and be counted on every day.
