Must Have:- Post-secondary education (2+ year program) in business, computer science, or a related field from a recognized institution. Professional certifications are an asset.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 3-6 years of complex, large-scale modernization projects. Experience/knowledge of Mainframe systems and Apprenticeship program. Experience using Azure DevOps and Axure would also be assets.
- Provide examples of recent successful projects (within the last three years) whereby the identified resource worked as a Senior Business Analyst.
- Experience in soliciting, documenting and validating business requirements.
- Experience with business process transformation and change management. This should include how the resource demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
- experience preparing test strategies / test plans, test cases; executing test cases/scripts, and experience monitoring /controlling test plan execution.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for testing would be an asset.
Project 1: MRD/TMS (Mainframe Modernization Project)Client: Government- Part of a larger initiative to move legacy mainframe systems to modern platforms
- Existing systems are stable but outdated, making them hard to maintain, enhance, and integrate
- Project involves replacing legacy applications with a hybrid solution using .NET (WebForms, WCF, and ASP.NET Core)
- Includes multiple layers: UI, business logic, workflows, and integrations
- Some old systems and manual processes will be retired or integrated
- Target completion: March 2027
- Gap analysis required to identify missing functionality between old and new systems

Project 2: ACMS (Apprenticeship & Certification System)Client: Government (Apprenticeship & Trades Certification Division – ATCD)- Building a full end-to-end system to manage apprenticeship and trade certification
- Covers everything from registration → training → employment → final certification
- Includes a self-service portal for apprentices, employers, and training institutes
- Replacing an older legacy system (AIMS) with improved workflows and features
- Built using .NET 8, Oracle DB, and APEX reporting
- Delivered in phases using Agile
- Next release: Sept 2026, final rollout by early 2028
