We’re looking for a hybrid Business Development Manager – Architectural & Specification Sales (Eastern Canada) in the building products industry.
Our client operates in the building products sector and works directly with architects and designers to secure specification on interior and exterior projects across residential and commercial environments.They focus on specification-driven sales, long-cycle project work and strong technical and relationship-based engagement. The existing Business Development Manager – Architectural & Specification Sales will be responsible for growing specification activity and securing design-stage inclusion across Eastern Canada.
Business Development Manager – Architectural & Specification Sales responsibilities:- Build, manage and convert a specification-driven project pipeline
- Influence projects early in the design cycle
- Lead sales activity with architects, designers, developers, contractors, engineers and installers
- Drive new business development across interior and exterior product applications
- Manage long sales cycles across Eastern Canada
- Execute regional and national specification sales strategies
- Maintain CRM accuracy, forecasting and pipeline reporting
The successful candidate has:- 7+ years of experience in specification-led building product sales
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Direct experience working with architects, designers and engineering professionals
- Demonstrated success influencing design decisions and winning specifications
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently across a large territory
Compensation and benefits:- The discussed base salary is $115,000 plus commission
