Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing transactions efficiently, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued to enhance our diverse customer interactions.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries both in person and over the phone
• Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
• Conduct product demos and provide information on merchandise, including technology products when applicable
• Upsell products and services to maximize customer satisfaction and sales opportunities
• Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive and organized presentation of products
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues as needed
• Ensure the checkout area is organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as required
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to balance multiple customer interactions efficiently

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse clientele
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail merchandising techniques
• Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features clearly
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong phone etiquette and professional demeanor at all times
• Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
