Job DescriptionEvent & Catering Servers assist with the preparation, setup, execution, and breakdown of events. They provide attentive food and beverage service while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and guest experience throughout each event. We are currently hiring servers who thrive in team-driven environments, adapt quickly to new settings, and take pride in creating polished, memorable guest experiences.
This role requires full-time availability, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation StructureThis position operates under two different pay structures depending on event type:
- $25/hour flat rate for catering events
- $17.60/hour + tips for on-site events
The Day to Day:- Assist with the preparation, setup, and ongoing maintenance of event spaces
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a strong knowledge of menu offerings to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards throughout service
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by clearing plates, cutlery, and glassware and returning items to the dish area
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, ensuring efficient and attentive service
- Support the team with event breakdown and post-event cleanup
- Adhere to all O&B health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Perform additional duties as required to support the success of each event
Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of serving experience; event or banquet experience considered an asset
- Smart Serve certification required
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
- Must be available to work full-time, including weekends.
