Our Vision is “to lead the design, development, and delivery of sustainable and culturally appropriate housing that promotes excellence in the Indigenous community and organizational infrastructures.”
We are currently seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our team in one of our offices located in Sault Ste. Marie, Hamilton, Peterborough, or Dryden.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Senior Executive Council, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic leadership across all aspects of financial stewardship, enterprise risk management, procurement, information technology, and organizational performance. As a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, the CFO ensures strong financial governance, long‑term sustainability, and compliance with regulatory, funding, and Indigenous governance frameworks. The role also provides hands‑on financial and commercial oversight for the OAHS Development (construction) portfolio throughout the full project life cycle—from early feasibility and capital planning through to operational transition.
The CFO leads a multidisciplinary portfolio that integrates financial strategy, procurement excellence, digital transformation, and data‑driven decision‑making to support the Corporation’s mission and community impact. Success in this role requires deep expertise in not‑for‑profit finance, public‑sector funding environments, affordable housing development, and Indigenous governance. The ideal candidate brings strong cultural competency, a commitment to reconciliation, and the ability to build trusted relationships with Indigenous communities, Elders, funders, government partners, and auditors. They champion procurement practices that advance Indigenous economic participation, strengthen internal controls, and ensure the Corporation’s resources are managed with integrity, transparency, and community accountability.
