You AreThe Cloud Engineer (AWS Cloud Networking & Infrastructure) is responsible for designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable AWS cloud environments with a strong emphasis on networking and infrastructure engineering. This role works closely with platform, security, and product teams to deliver resilient cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
The Opportunity- Design, build, and support AWS cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on networking.
- Architect and manage VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT gateways, Transit Gateway (TGW), Direct Connect, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity.
- Implement and enhance cloud security controls including IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, WAF, and GuardDuty
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain AWS environments from scratch, including account setup, landing zones, access management, monitoring, and logging
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues related to DNS, routing, latency, and multi account connectivity.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and product teams to ensure governance, compliance, and reliability standards are met.
- Support operational processes including incident, change, and request management.

What You Need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in Cloud / Infrastructure Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Networking. [Strong expertise in AWS networking and core services.
- Hands on experience with Terraform and cloud automation.
- Experience with scripting/automation using Python or Go.
Preferred / Nice to Have- Experience working in multi account AWS environments
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud governance frameworks
- Exposure to hybrid cloud connectivity
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Ontario-Hybrid
Compensation Range: $115,000-$144,000
BenefitsFull-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
