Schedule: Steady days and occasional afternoon shifts, Full Time Hours, Monday to Friday, additional hours on Saturday where necessary
Job SummaryYou will work with a small machining team in a broad range of activities, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. You will be responsible for running a Haas VF3 CNC machine and a Makino U3 Wire EDM machine. Ability to operate other machines may be required such as drill press, surface grinders, manual mills and hand tools.
Job Duties:- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Programs CNC machines by software, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Sets-up CNC mills by installing tools, attachments, collets, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices and work piece.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Experience with the following:- CNC -3 axis Haas VF3
- CNC - 5 Axis Haas UNC750
- WMS machines
- Wire – Makino U3

- 5-10 years Knowledge of CAD/CAM Programs
- 5 axis machine experience (preferred)
- Mastercam programming experience (preferred)
- Ability to understand blueprints, specifications and technical data
- Thorough knowledge of GD&T, Datum schemes and tolerances required
