Position Title: Coordinator, Technology & Mobile Hub Programs

I. Scope and Summary of Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Coordinator, Technology & Mobile Hub Programs supports the development and delivery of virtual and in-person accessible technology programs and services for individuals who are blind or partially sighted. This role focuses on enhancing independence at home, work, and in the community through technology training, product support, and program facilitation.
In addition, the position plays a key role in supporting CNIB’s Mobile Hub initiatives, including event coordination, logistics, and travel support. The position contributes to program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement while ensuring a high-quality participant experience aligned with CNIB’s service standards.
II. Essential FunctionsThe position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of accessible technology programs (e.g., Phone It Forward, Gift of Technology).
- Facilitate virtual and in-person workshops to train participants in the use of accessible devices and software, including built-in and add-on accessibility features.
- Deliver one-to-one appointments, drop-in services, and community-based workshops.
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate accessible technology solutions based on individual needs.
- Support program evaluation processes and track outcomes to measure impact.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and improve program outcomes using evaluation data.
- Provide coordination and administrative support for Mobile Hub events, including scheduling, logistics, and community engagement.
- Support Mobile Hub team travel, including driving as required.
- Ensure alignment with organizational service standards and best practices.
- Travel locally within the region as required.
III. QualificationsKnowledge and Skill Requirements- Strong knowledge of accessible technology, including iOS, Windows, and related accessibility features.
- Ability to deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to assess participant needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Understanding of program evaluation and outcome measurement is an asset.
- Commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility principles.
Experience and Education- Experience facilitating workshops and training individuals who are blind or partially sighted.
- Experience developing and delivering accessible technology programs.
- Experience supporting program evaluation and tracking outcomes.
- Experience coordinating events, logistics, or community-based programming is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and/or ability to travel locally within the region.
- Lived or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered a strong asset.
Work Environment- Based at the CNIB Kelowna office with in-person and virtual program delivery responsibilities.
- Requires local travel within the region, including Mobile Hub activities.
