You AreUST is searching for a Data Warehouse Developer who Leads team and independently designs, develops, tests, implements, documents, and supports data warehouses, including ETL, database, and scheduling technologies and processes.
The Opportunity- Leads small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements, and develops detailed work plans
- Works closely with business and IT stakeholders to optimize information by defining business requirements and populating the data warehouse table structure
- Designs, develops, and maintains relational databases for data storage and data mining
- Performs data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation
- Creates and supports the ETL process to extract the data from source systems and place it into the data warehouse
- May supervise or manage four or fewer employees, and responsible for team's performance; coaches and mentors team members
- Creates data warehouse schematics and layouts, and develops capacity planning
- Seeks continuous data warehouse performance improvement and ensures security of data

What You Need- Experience: 8 to 10 Years
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent education/ experience required
- Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) and/or LOMA certification preferred
- 8+ Years Data Warehouse or relevant experience required
- 8+ Years ETL, database, and scheduling experience required
- 4+ Years of Data Analysis experience required
- Experience in Kimball dimensional modeling required
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies required
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams required
- Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information required
- Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to build consensus; Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex or difficult information required
- Informatica Power Center & Data Validation Option required
- Tidal Enterprise Scheduler required
- Oracle SQL & PL/SQL required
- Vertica preferred
- Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge preferred
- Talend preferred
- SQL Server; SQL Server Integration Services; PostgreSQL preferred
- Erwin Data Modeler preferred
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote-CanadaCompensation Range: $104,000-$130,000BenefitsFull-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
