Title: Director, Nursing Professional Practice and Specialized TeamsSalary: $125,708 - $147,891 - $170,075 per year (pay range explained below)Contract: PermanentHours: 37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)Location: Alberni office - Vancouver BC. A flexible work model (Hybrid/Remote) may be an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.About the roleReporting to the Executive Director in the Office of the Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer (OCNAHO), the Director, Nursing Professional Practice and Specialized Teams is responsible for developing the vision for nursing professional practice and other specialized clinical teams, under the direction of the CNAHO, and directing the planning and management of the professional practice leadership portfolio, as well as supporting the initiatives of allied health and nursing disciplines in alignment with the mission and strategic goals of the FNHA.
About youTo be successful in this role you will have/be:
Education & Occupational Certification, Experience- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in an applicable professional discipline and at least ten (10) years of progressively increasing responsibility in leadership in an academic health sciences environment, including experience with general administration and hospital operations.
- Current or eligible for practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing & Midwives (BCCNM) in good standing.
Knowledge- Knowledge of First Nations cultures and backgrounds, and the understanding of how culture impacts on communication patterns, attitudes and approaches to health issues.
- Demonstrated presence in cultural safety and humility. Demonstrated knowledge of trauma informed approaches and relational practice.
- Knowledge and the application of concepts, principles and theories of transcultural nursing to provide culturally safe nursing care.
- Knowledge of leading practices in leadership and leadership development.
- Knowledge and experience in development, implementation and evaluation of clinical leadership development programs.
- Knowledge of public health models and concepts.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
