OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Toddler & Special Needs Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones and encouraging a love for learning. Bilingual skills in English and French, as well as experience working with children with disabilities or in special education, are highly valued.
Duties- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child's individual needs.
- Use classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster positive behavior.
- Assist with classroom activities and support teaching staff as needed
- Assess children's progress regularly and document developmental milestones accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support inclusive education for children with disabilities or special needs.
- Lead classroom activities that promote language development, including bilingual instruction in English and French if applicable.
- Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized environment at all times
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with licensing regulations and best practices.
- Document incidents or concerns clearly through written reports
Qualifications- Proven experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Early childhood education certification or relevant childcare qualifications required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education programs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently within a dynamic classroom environment.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate children and collaborate with team members.
- Proficiency in computer operation and classroom management software is advantageous.
