OverviewWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Elder Care Assistants to provide high-quality care and support to seniors in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
- Provide patient care including medication administration, health monitoring, and basic nursing tasks as required.
- Support residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Help with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams, families, and residents.
- Support hospice care services by offering compassionate companionship and emotional support.
- Work with individuals with disabilities to promote their safety, comfort, and engagement in daily activities.
Qualifications- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates.
- Knowledge of senior care practices, dementia care, medication administration, and caregiving techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude towards elderly individuals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in caregiving or nursing assistance is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to provide consistent resident support.
