Inuit TV is the Inuktut-language educational broadcaster for the Territory of Nunavut and serves 1.6 million subscribers across Canada. Our mission is to provide high quality Inuit language and cultural television to the people of Inuit Nunangat and Canada.
The ideal candidate will provide top-level assistance for the executive team. They should be well-organized and be comfortable scheduling meetings and responding to emails on the executive's behalf. Lastly, this individual should be able to draft documents and help the executive with any necessary meeting preparations.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary and first point of contact for all stakeholders, including executives, staff, and any other third parties.
- Respond to phone calls, and convey messages and information to the appropriate party.
- Ensure that all our customers’ queries and concerns are handled diligently and with care.
- Draft, review and send communications on behalf of the CEO.
- Manage scheduling for Inuit TV executives.
- Manage travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Act as the office manager by keeping track of office supplies, ordering additional supplies as required.
- Create memos, emails, presentations, and reports that are easy to read for both internal and external audiences.
- Take minutes at meetings.
- Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence.
- Maintain and organise the filing system at the workplace.
- Assist with the preparation of financial documentation.
- Plan and organize events or meetings.
- Duties may also include maintaining a social media presence.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in managing multiple priorities, administrative coordination, and logistics.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented.
- Has knowledge of and passion for a vibrant Inuit language and culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Has connections, familiarity or experience working with communities across Inuit Nunaat.
- Experience in the broadcast or art related field is considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate in both Inuktut and English is an asset.
This Position reports directly to the CEO.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000
