Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, pricing strategies, and negotiation skills to deliver competitive bids and support business growth. The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in project planning and cost management, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.

Duties

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints using tools such as Bluebeam to develop precise estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
• Utilize HeavyBid or similar estimating software to compile and manage bid data efficiently.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals that reflect accurate project costs while maintaining competitiveness.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction market trends, material prices, and labor rates to ensure accurate estimations.
• Support project management teams during project execution by providing cost analysis and change order evaluations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in construction projects.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, labor costs, and pricing strategies.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to analyze complex project data and develop accurate estimates under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to construction estimating.
