Duties- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in menu planning and development by providing input on new dishes or improvements to existing ones.
- Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications- Previous experience in food service or a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
