We’re partnering with a highly specialized engineering organization working on advanced, mission-critical systems in a regulated, high-performance environment. As part of a growing team, they’re looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to contribute to the design and verification of complex digital systems used in cutting-edge applications.

What You’ll Do- Design, implement, and verify FPGA solutions using VHDL and SystemVerilog
- Develop and execute robust test benches, including UVM-based verification environments
- Perform simulation, timing analysis, and post place-and-route verification
- Integrate and validate third-party IP cores into larger FPGA architectures
- Work with SoC FPGA platforms and on-chip communication protocols (e.g., AXI, AHB)
- Contribute to full development lifecycle: requirements, architecture, implementation, and validation
- Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and lab-based testing on custom boards
- Optimize designs for performance, power, and resource utilization
- Develop automated test procedures and hardware-in-the-loop validation workflows
- Document design, verification, and test results with clarity and accuracy
Must-Have:- 8+ years of experience in FPGA design and/or verification
- Strong proficiency in VHDL (synthesizable design and testbench development)
- Experience with FPGA toolchains (e.g., Vivado, Libero or similar)
- Hands-on experience with simulation, timing closure, and verification methodologies
- Knowledge of SystemVerilog and exposure to UVM concepts
- Experience with SoC FPGA architectures and high-speed interfaces
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git-based workflows)
- Strong debugging skills on hardware platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a structured development environment
Nice-to-Have:- Experience with formal verification tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with industry or defense-grade development standards
- Exposure to DSP algorithms (e.g., filters, correlators)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for FPGA development
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink or high-level synthesis tools
- Scripting experience (Python, Tcl, or similar)
- Experience with automated test environments and validation frameworks
Work Environment- Hybrid (4 days onsite)
- 12-month contract (with potential extension or conversion)
Compensation- Competitive hourly rate aligned with experience
- Target range equivalent to approximately $160K–$180K annually
Additional Requirements- Must be eligible to obtain government reliability-level clearance
- Must meet Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements
