Reporting to our New Westminster Care Centre, this role will provide onsite support across our Lower Mainland locations. The Opportunity:This is a part-time, on-call hourly position, scheduled based on operational needs, with a wage range of $22–$24 per hour.
We are seeking a dependable, respectful, and compassionate Float Host/Hostess & Administrative Support professional who will provide onsite coverage across our Lower Mainland locations. This role supports families, guests, and visitors during services and gatherings, while also providing administrative and operational support as needed across assigned locations and affiliated brands.

Key responsibilities include (This role provides coverage in two areas, depending on operational needs):
Host/Hostess Support:- Greet and assist families, guests, and visitors in a warm, professional, and compassionate manner
- Guide families and guests to the appropriate areas for services, viewings, and receptions
- Offer support to grieving families and attendees with care and discretion
- Prepare and maintain public and service areas to ensure the funeral home is clean, organized, and ready
- Arrange seating and help manage guest flow during services and visitations
- Provide general information about services and facilities to guests
- Assist with special requests or accommodations for families and guests, where appropriate
- Support service-related tasks such as guest books, service materials, and program distribution
- Coordinate with funeral directors and other team members to support seamless service execution
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Administrative Support Responsibilities:- Reception duties, including answering and directing phone calls and responding to general inquiries
- Provide administrative support with a focus on data entry, document handling, and coordination of volunteer activities
- Support client interactions and prepare required documentation for direct cremation files
- Maintain office systems and complete essential administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations
- Assist with filing, scanning, case file preparation, and internal tracking processes
- Support documentation for registration
