The Company is currently looking for an experienced Group Benefits Administrator to join the team at Canadian Benefits Administrators (CBA) part of the NXG Group of Companies.
Overview:In this full-time role, the Benefits Administrator’s primary responsibility is to provide professional benefit plan support to all Third-Party Administrators (TPA), Brokers and/or Plan Sponsors. This position requires the incumbent to work from home.
Job Responsibilities- Fully understand the benefit offering and manage all benefit administrative inquiries for a block of TPA, Broker and/or Plan Sponsors
- Provide recommendations for resolution of problems and issues to the client
- Manage and assist clients with enrolment, amendments, running monthly billings and eligibility loads.
- Investigate, research, and resolve client issues and liaise with other departments
- Resolve client administrative inquiries and concerns in a timely manner. Requests may be received by phone, e-mail or regular mail
- Resolve customer phone inquiries and complaints from administrators in accordance with our corporate guidelines
- Respond to written and telephone requests within service standards
- Coach, Train and support other benefit administrators
- Assist and support NEW group set up, also act as team lead during the setup and conversion process
- Other projects that may require your assistance within the department, as needed
Qualifications & Skills- Fully understand the role of the Third-Party Administrator and how to best support them; must have TPA experience.
- Must have at least 2 years of benefit administration experience or experience with group health insurance
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong math skills required to be able to address billing balancing, questions about taxes and premiums, calculation/confirming admin fees etc.
- Fluent verbal and written skills in French language would be an asset
- Excellent customer service skills; professional demeanor and an ability to maintain self-composure when working with clients in a challenging situation
- Must be detail oriented, analytical and work well as an individual contributor and a team player
- Have a professional and mature approach to customer service
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel and Word; good keyboarding skills
- Other required skills include strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, able to multi-task
- A self-leader with demonstrated initiative and eager to learn and grow in the role
