Job Description:Department OverviewThe TD Securities Capital Reporting Group is part of the Chief Accountants department and is accountable for all capital reporting, optimizations and capital project initiatives. The group is involved in leading consultations and industry discussions regarding current and upcoming OSFI Capital requirements. It is also responsible for allocation of capital for business line measurement and financial statement disclosures.
Job OverviewThis Manager will be responsible for overseeing OSFI Capital reporting processes, providing support and guidance to capital reporting analysts on ongoing monthly reporting deliverables. The manager will also be responsible for managing relationships with the business and stakeholders on key capital initiatives, such as implementation of new products into the OSFI capital calculations and providing meaningful reporting/analysis to influence business behavior, strategic decision making and optimal balance sheet usage.
Job Description- Collaborate with other LoBs, technology partners, the business and other relevant stakeholders to ensure OSFI regulatory rules are well understood/interpreted, and calculation assumptions accurately capture business rationale.
- Lead the development and implementation of new financial models, capital treatment, methodologies, frameworks and paradigms to support on-going business unit reporting and analysis functions. Provide meaningful reporting/analysis to influence business behavior, strategic decision making and optimal balance sheet usage.
- As the subject matter expert, provide guidance and recommendations to the Business on capital related matters.
- Support the execution and onboarding of new products in the TDS capital calculation process to ensure compliance with all existing rules and integration into the capital calculation processes.
- Provide accurate and thorough capital impact analysis on new capital initiatives; interpret findings, identify issues and propose possible solutions.
- Support testing and updates to the Basel Reporting Services (RWA System - the calculation engine for capital reporting) and upstream data pipeline.
- Work closely and manage relationships with different stakeholders from several groups i.e. Treasury and Balance Sheet Management, Finance Shared Services, Technology, Accounting, Front Office, Audit etc.

Additional InformationThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Thorough knowledge of Basel Capital rules, in particular, Standardized and Internal Rating Based (IRB) approaches for credit risk, as well as underlying principles including parameter impacts on capital.
- Sound understanding of wholesale banking products including derivative instruments and a good grasp of quantitative data analysis
- An independent thinker with strong critical-thinking skills, analytical skills and the ability to solve complex issues
- Self-starter; willingness to take initiatives for continuous learning and development
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Access; experience in analyzing large data sets using SQL/Access
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:- CFA, CPA or FRM designation preferred
- Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred
