We are seeking a passionate, grounded, and thoughtful educator who feels called to teach children ages 10-14 during a crucial developmental stage. Someone who can guide students in inquiry, critical thinking, communication, ethical reflection, and biblical worldview integration.

What Makes This Role Special- Small class sizes (maximum 12 students for Grades 5–8) - currently class under 6 kids.

DutiesAcademic Teaching & Facilitation- Teach subjects using the IB MYP framework.
Assessment & Planning- Develop MYP-aligned unit plans, assessments, and learning experiences.
- Use IB criteria-based assessment and provide ongoing feedback and documentation.
- Support students in goal-setting, reflection, and personal growth.
Student Support & Community- Mentor students with empathy, understanding, and Christ-like leadership.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, emotionally safe classroom environment.
- Support diverse learners and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with team members for cross-subject projects and community initiatives.
Professional & Faith Commitments- Participate in staff devotions, reflective practice, and collaborative planning.
- Engage in relevant IB training and professional development.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and commitment to ongoing learning.
- Create engaging, inquiry-based lessons using real-world case studies, primary sources, novels, short texts, and project work.
- Integrate biblical worldview connections naturally and thoughtfully.
- Support students’ reading, writing, communication, and research skills.
- Guide students in interdisciplinary learning between humanities, ethics, faith, and global issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relay clear signals and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness to identify hazards promptly.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of signaling systems, communication devices, and safety protocols is preferred.
- Physical stamina to remain alert during long shifts and perform necessary tasks effectively.
- Prior experience in transportation, construction, or industrial signaling is a plus but not required. Qualifications- Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Junior or Junior/Intermediate preferred)
- Experience teaching Grades 5–8
- Familiarity with the IB MYP framework (an asset; training provided)
- Strong background in humanities, history, geography, ethics, English, or literacy, math and science instruction
- Ability to integrate Christian values into teaching in a natural, age-appropriate way
- Passion for project-based learning, inquiry, discussion, and creativity
- Comfort facilitating outdoor and experiential learning
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in small or alternative learning environments is a plus
