Oxford Learning Waterdown is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic tutor to work with high school students in Grade 11 and 12 Math, Physics, and/or Chemistry. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Teach high school students (Grades 11 & 12) math, physics, and/or chemistry
- Support students in understanding complex concepts and developing strong problem-solving skills
- Guide students through curriculum-based material, homework support, and test/exam preparation
- Encourage independent learning, critical thinking, and effective study habits
- Provide a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Follow Oxford Learning teaching methods and structured program plans
Qualifications- Strong academic background in math and/or science (physics/chemistry)
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, science, math, education)
- Comfortable teaching senior-level high school concepts
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain concepts clearly
- Patient, encouraging, and student-focused approach
- Experience tutoring or working with students is an asset
Schedule- Part-time, primarily after-school and evenings (3:00 pm - 7:30 pm)
- Twice a week
