Job OverviewWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various healthcare and community settings. This role involves supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, and patients admitted at hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and patient support, ensuring a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for those in need. Responsibilities- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support (No-hands on, only directions)
- Medication reminders, no administration at all.
- Support patients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting mental well-being
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces to ensure a hygienic environment
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare protocols
- Assist with transportation to appointments or activities when necessary
Requirements- Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living, home care, or hospice care preferred
- CPR&FIRST AID
- FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATE
- Knowledge of senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, dementia.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility as required
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Basic skills in meal preparation and light cleaning tasks
- Certification or training in caregiving or relevant healthcare fields is advantageous
- Must be reliable, patient-focused, and committed to providing respectful support to clients
Pay: From $16.70 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 48.0 per week
