Job Overview:Passionate about live production, Ross Video designs, manufactures and delivers dependable technology and services that power exceptional live video productions seen by billions of viewers around the world every day. Working closely with all members of the Human Resources team, the HR Specialist will play a significant role in our Immigration and Short-Term Business Traveler Programs, ESOP and Stock Option programs. You will be involved in updating and rolling out new programs, policy changes, and providing ongoing support for HR Operations programs.
Note - this is a 16-month contract role.
What the job is all about:Immigration:- Manage immigration program and coordinate with foreign nationals for immigration processes Ensures all paperwork, including applications for immigration and visas are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for tracking all visas/work permits to ensure they are renewed
- Provide support to Short-Term business travelers as well as tracking for immigration and tax compliance
- Manage Travel Tracking program for reporting purposes
Equity Programs:- Responsible for coordinating the annual minimarket for the ESOP (Employee Share Ownership Program). This includes all employee communication, tracking, documentation, accuracy of transactions, and issuance of share certificates
- Responsible for managing the quarterly Share Option grants and the associated documentation. Ensure accuracy of transactions and coordinate with Accounting for financial reporting
- Manage the software program to ensure accurate tracking
HR Operations & Knowledge Management:- Provide guidance and support on HR policies, programs or processes related to benefits, employment legislation and compliance with special focus on global consistency
- Provide support for consistent development of HR materials. Ensure HR standards and governance applied to all content and deliverables
- Contribute to overall knowledge management, documentation and organization of materials related to HR programs, policies, and processes
- Coordinate translation for employer resources as needed
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices
- Provide research as requested
Other:- Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as required. Perform other related duties as required
Who you are:- Knowledge of Immigration rules and process for Canada & the US. Experience outside of North America is an asset
- Tech savvy – experience implementing new software is an asset
- Strong excel experience with a willingness to work hands-on in the details as well as in the analysis
- Knowledge of SharePoint content editing and power user functions are an asset
- Strong attention to detail & organization skills; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR with a Degree/Certificate in Human Resources, Business or related discipline, HR Certification an asset
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively to various levels of the organization
- Able to maintain confidentiality with a high degree of diplomacy
- Team-oriented and enjoys working within a collaborative environment
- Positive attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of employment related legislation an asset
Other:Occasional travel to Iroquois/Ottawa office for team meetings

Salary Information:The pay range for this role in Canada is: $55,000 - $ 72,500 CAD
