Your Opportunity:The role serves as the functional expert within HR Shared Services, offering research and analytical expertise to manage and administer human resources functions. The position involves independent issue resolution and complex problem-solving for stakeholders. The role provides critical advice, analysis, support, and guidance on system, program, and process matters essential for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits, and pensions. Key responsibilities include developing and executing quality assurance processes, reconciliations, audits, and reports to ensure data integrity and accuracy. HR Technicians are expected to deliver high-level customer service to colleagues, team members, and other stakeholders, meeting established timelines and requirements. They are also a key resource for system enhancements and testing. In addition, HR Technicians are responsible for training all staff, including peers, on procedures due to their technical expertise in system processes. They provide feedback and metrics to team members, utilize critical thinking for advising on new processes and issue resolution, and ensure effective implementation of change.

Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education in a related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:- Post Secondary diploma in Human Resources. Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources experience with a strong aptitude for analytical tasks, including the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information in accordance with various collective agreements and multiple company policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and issue resolution skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of collective agreements or experience with policies, legislation, plans and processes and the ability to interpret and apply knowledge to identify alternatives and make decisions and recommendations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Microsoft software applications, integrated human resources information systems (PeopleSoft), and other related data management programs.
- Effective communicator with strong organizational skills; oral, written, presentation and report writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working in PeopleSoft is an asset.
