What You'll DoReporting to the Lead Infrastructure, Network & Design Analyst, the Infrastructure, Network & Design Analyst participates in a variety of analytical and technical assignments that provide assistance for problem diagnosis and solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance in a variety of hardware, software, and network products in an information technology infrastructure environment. The role is broadly split between providing day-to-day operational support for existing infrastructure services and users of those services, and project-based work leading to the development and deployment of new infrastructure services.
What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience- Two-year post-secondary diploma in Network Administration, Network Security or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure and network administration, preferably in a public sector, municipal or healthcare environment
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
- Deploying and managing Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, marketplace offerings and Azure Storage (Azure Files)
- Configuring virtual networks, network security groups, and routing
- Monitoring and optimizing cloud resources using Azure Monitor and Cost Management
Skills & Abilities- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server administration, and cybersecurity principles
- Experience with Microsoft 365, VMware,Veeam backup solutions, and database management
- Proficiency with automation and scripting tools, such as:
- PowerShell for automating administrative tasks and system configurations
- Terraform for infrastructure-as-code deployments in hybrid or cloud environments
- Power Automate for streamlining workflows and integrating municipal business processes
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
Assets- CISM, CISA, CISSP, ITIL, VMWARE, CCNA, CCNE, CompTIA Network+, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
