This is an internal support position which requires versatility, attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency and troubleshooting skills. You'll wear lots of hats and gain plenty of valuable experience.
This position offers a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working from home, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Our office is located in downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department. Provide support (L2, L3) for application, IT, and security requests and incidents, both virtually and onsite.
- Design and implement automation frameworks across IT systems, leveraging platforms such as low-code or no-code workflow tools to eliminate manual processes and increase reliability.
- Own and manage operational processes, including multi-level support for IT services, application technical support, and cloud SaaS.
- Act as a multiplier across IT and Security - raising architectural thinking, and influencing standards so we build high-quality, maintainable systems that scale.
- Demonstrated ability to make structured decisions around platform configuration, access models, vendor management, AI feature considerations, and governance standards.
- Demonstrated track record of defining strategy, building roadmaps, and driving execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives, while scaling systems and team capabilities.
- Champion thoughtful AI adoption within IT by identifying high-leverage automation opportunities, piloting tools responsibly, and helping the team work smarter while maintaining privacy and security standards.
You’ll Need to Have:- Bachelor's degree in related IT field or 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience architecting and scaling systems in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment, with strong judgment around risk, security, and compliance.
- A strong automation mindset, with hands-on experience building workflows or integrations using service management platforms, APIs, or low-code automation tools, and comfort leveraging AI tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Working knowledge of MDM tools (Intune, Kandji/Jamf, Hexnode, etc).
- Good understanding of internet technologies, networking, DNS, mail distribution, VPN, and DHCP.
- Experience with upgrading systems and applications, patch management, performance tuning, monitoring, alerting and disaster recovery.
- Deep expertise in Identity and Access Management, including SSO, RBAC, lifecycle management, and hands-on experience with platforms such as Google Workspace or similar identity providers.
- Good understanding of network components switches, routers, firewalls, VPN tunnels and configuration of end user devices and wireless access points.
We’d Love to See:- Proficient in Google Workspace, Endpoint Security System, MDM Solution, Cloud Infrastructure, Identity Platform, Git, Jira, and MacOS
- Extensive experience in incident management, request management, and troubleshooting distributed systems
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. This includes working with remote team members.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas to technical and non-technical audiences in both written and verbal formats.
- Experience in the start up space working in ambiguous environments
