Transdev Canada is actively seeking an IT Technician, MMIS for the Hazel McCallion light rail transit project to bridges maintenance, operations, and IT by providing hands-on system support, user training, troubleshooting, and data integrity oversight in a safety-critical transit environment.
Your role- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of computer workstations and software
- Monitor system performance and raise concerns to the Maintenance Manager
- Identify, propose, and implement improvements to IT-related processes
- Provide technical support to staff for computer-related issues
- Install and update software
- Support and assist with MMIS-related issues, including but not limited to:
- Design and support the architecture of MMIS (Maximo) for rolling stock, fixed assets, linear assets, stops, and stations
- Integrate MMIS with the project’s central database (Digital Data Warehouse Record and Retrieval System)
- Align MMIS architecture with business processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage and track open issues and support tickets

Your profile- You have a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- You have strong communication skills and a customer service mindset
- You are organized and detail-oriented
- You can work independently and as part of a team
- You have experience supporting Windows 11 environments
- You have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- You are able to prioritize and manage multiple requests
- Able to work shift work occasionally in our safety-critical 24-hour per day, 7-day per week, 365-day per year workplace.
Work Experience Qualifications- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Project management experience is an asset
- Experience with CMMS, Maximo, or asset management systems is an asset
- Rail industry experience (Metro, LRT, Tramway, Freight) is an asset
