The Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada is looking to fill a small part-time position (5 hours a month). We need a person who is very strong with WordPress to assist our Web & IT Manager.
The work would involve helping out on the backend of our WordPress website, including a variety of tasks over time. It does not include website design or posting/revising website content. Here’s some examples:
- Adding navigation buttons and drop-down menus when needed
- Splitting long pages into sub-pages and linking appropriately (eg Media News)
- Content management, eg, moving content around, revising backend text etc.
- Fixing glitches as they arise
- Collecting metrics for the ED & Board
- Fixing French links to end with /fr instead of /?lang=fr
- Moving non-public files into our Private folder
- Adding sticky sidebars to some longer pages
- Enabling addition of Related Links when a new post/page is created
Experience with customizing PHP language would be an asset but not essential.
You must support reproductive rights including abortion.
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 1.25 per week
