Level of Experience and Practical/Technical Skills RequiredThis position is accountable to the General Manager and Senior Project Manager to accurately perform project management duties and other related functions as required. Included in these duties is the handling of personnel and work documentation that requires the incumbent to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
A high degree of professional experience, including intimate knowledge of the work being undertaken, knowledge of suppliers and procurement protocol, and a high degree of computer/technical skill.
The incumbent is expected to portray a highly professional image of the company in both dress and manner when meeting clientele.
This position must ensure that prompt, courteous service is provided while demonstrating salesmanship and professionalism while dealing with Clientele and suppliers to retain, attract and promote business for the company
Major Activities:- Compiles accurate and detailed submittals and shop drawings for current metal flashing, roofing, and cladding projects, complete with accurate record keeping
- Reviews, maintains and updates project schedules for both Site and Office coordination
- Maintains listing of current metal flashing / shop fabrication projects and timelines in conjunction with shop superintendent
- Work with architects to provide relevant sample data, particularly related to proprietary products such as LKMe, Swisspearl, etc.
- Coordinates and facilitates site activities with Owner/General Contractors through clear communication.
- Maintains constant dialogue with related superintendents and clients throughout ongoing jobs
- Highlights and manages changes to the contracted scope of work using RFI’s and Change Orders, and updates budgets and revenues to PJ accounting staff
- Attends and participates in Site and Office production meetings as required
- Ensures month end cut off and invoicing procedures are followed for work in progress as deemed necessary by accounting
- Reviews job costs in detail at job completion and identifies errors accurately and quickly to ensure job costing parameters are maintained.
- Assists Estimators, as requested, in the assessment of material and manpower procurement and forecasting.
- Maintains project documentation throughout respective jobs
- Conveys the company’s focus on a safe work environment to all concerned, including employees, other management, and customers.
- Recruitment and hiring of new employees where possible.
- Reviews job costs in detail at job completion and identifies errors accurately and quickly to ensure job costing parameters are maintained.
- Assists accounting in the effective collection of Accounts Receivable.
- Other duties assigned from time to time by the General Manager or Senior Staff
- Maintains customer goodwill by providing prompt, efficient and courteous service while promoting the company’s business.
- Responsible for profitability of projects
- Read and understand the subcontracts and prime contracts as they relate to our subcontracts
- Produce budgets from estimates
- Review IFC drawings for conflicts with tender drawings and report results to supervisor
- Coordinate shop drawings, material product submittals
- If a project includes both roofing and cladding, you are the Project Manager for both roofing and cladding
- Delegate work (appropriate tasks) to your project coordinator
- Materials procurement in time for installation
- Pricing and processing change orders/change directives
Minor Activities:- Performs safety and quality checks of jobsites when practical
- Assists commercial estimators with Wall System and/or roofing system estimation
- Ensure company vehicle (provided) is kept current for insurance, parking decals and maintenance
- Ensure Employee information is kept confidential, maintained in orderly files under restricted access
- Maintains/oversees the quality of all building applications
- Reports to Jobsites / Works from Jobsites when job size or work conditions require on site presence
Wage: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually dependent on experience
