Responsibilities:- Responsible for underwriting commercial real estate mortgages across all asset classes (multi-residential, retail, industrial, office, land, etc.).
- Work with origination team to pre-screen and qualify new loan opportunities in an efficient manner.
- Prepare term sheets, commitment letters and credit submissions for bridge, construction, inventory and high ratio loans.
- Analyze property operating statements, rent rolls, leases and cash flows.
- Review borrower/guarantor financial and personal net worth statements to ensure sufficient liquidity to support the loan application.
- Conduct market research and analysis of comparable sales, market rents and absorption levels to validate property values.
- Provide support in closing loan transactions.
Qualifications:- Minimum 1 to 2 years relevant experience in commercial real estate lending.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related field.
- Superior written and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and under time pressure.
- Ability to communicate with brokers and other third-party referral sources.
