About the RoleWe are looking for a Lead Service Technician to support and lead field service work on commercial greenhouse irrigation systems. This is a new hands-on role for an experienced technician who takes pride in doing things right and helping others succeed in the field. You will work closely with growers, junior technicians, and internal teams to diagnose issues, complete service work efficiently, and maintain high standards across all irrigation systems.
Preferred Experience- Greenhouse irrigation or fertigation systems
- Automated irrigation platforms
- Pump systems, VFDs, filtration, and dosing equipment
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and as-built documentation
- Informal or formal leadership / mentoring experience
Key Responsibilities- Lead on-site service and troubleshooting for greenhouse irrigation systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving pumps, valves, filtration, and fertigation
- Support and mentor junior technicians during service visits
- Act as the primary point of contact on service calls when assigned
- Communicate clearly with growers and site managers regarding issues and solutions
- Ensure service work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Complete service documentation, reports, and system notes
- Assist with commissioning, retrofits, and system upgrades
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to management
Required Qualifications- 5+ years experience working with irrigation systems (greenhouse or agricultural preferred)
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of job sites
- Clear communication skills with customers and team members
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites
