AIS Technology Group Team is currently looking for a bright, ambitious Vision Application Specialist who enjoys team work and on-going challenging projects. This role will work within our Windsor technical team.
As part of AIS Technology Group in Windsor, you will be responsible for the following activities and accountabilities:
- Define machine vision performance requirements in vision application.
- Determine opto-mechanical, electrical and software interface requirements of the vision system.
- Concept and design turnkey vision solutions. This includes all lighting, optics, cameras, frame-grabbers, processing algorithms, opto-mechanical fixtures and material handling units.
- Develop image processing applications using commercial software libraries, including application GUI’s.
- Integrate and test vision system during integration and buyoff phases.
- Works as a key member in the final assembly/ disassembly and test of systems.
- Runs in-house and customer acceptance or verification tests.
- Ensures that the system meets customer specifications.
- Commissions and installs project at customer sites.
- Trains customer personnel on the operation and setup of machines if required.
- Provide Field Services.
Occasional Evening and Weekend Work may require depends on the stage of the project.
Occasional Non-Work Hour Traveling may be required.
The following are the minimum requirements for the position:
- A minimum experience with machine vision in integration of factory automation projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in C# programming language and Cognex Vision Tools.
- Knowledge in Image processing algorithms is essential.
- Good written and oral communication skills and an ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary project team are essential.
- Strong preference will be given to designers with a proven background in the development of optical, and illumination systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
