Job OverviewWe are seeking a Machinist to join our manufacturing team. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing precision components and assemblies by setting up, operating, and maintaining various machine tools. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities- Operate CNC lathes and CNC milling machines, ensuring precise execution of parts.
- Program CNC machines using G-code, Fanuc and Mazak controls, and CAM programming software to optimize machining processes.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings to produce accurate components.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges for precise measurements.
- Perform routine maintenance on machine tools and troubleshoot issues using hand tools and power tools to minimize downtime.
Qualifications- Proven experience as a Machinist with strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or general CAD/CAM programming tools for part design and toolpath creation.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers and bore gauges.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and dimensions.
- Capable of operating hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
