Position OverviewSchep’s Bakeries is seeking a hands-on, organized, and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple facilities. This role will oversee a team of electricians, mechanics, and contractors while building strong systems, improving equipment reliability, and helping create a more structured and proactive maintenance department.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can mentor people, bring organization to the team, and ensure maintenance is planned, prioritized, and executed properly.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the maintenance team across multiple facilities
- Supervise electricians, mechanics, and outside contractors
- Build structure, accountability, and clear maintenance processes
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Organize work orders, scheduling, spare parts, and follow-up systems
- Coordinate repairs, shutdowns, and maintenance priorities across sites
- Mentor and develop the maintenance team
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance requirements
Qualifications- Maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, or industrial operations
- Experience managing teams that include electrical and mechanical trades
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and department organization
- Hands-on technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
