About the opportunity:We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join the Kitchener operations team. You’ll offer production support and expertise for new and existing products, so that the factory can produce products in the most efficient, safe and profitable way. The primary focus will be supporting both the projection and direct-view production lines. The secondary focus will be to improve and enhance the production flow through 6S, process instructions, tools, and process development.
Responsibilities:- Be the first line of support to the production operators, troubleshooting production issues and ensuring a high-quality level of output
- Engaging the senior members of the manufacturing engineering team to deal with in-depth problems
- Manage implementation of ECOs and Deviations into production
- Prepare and maintain required production and support documentation
- Create and maintain job routing instructions in ERP based on best practices
- Participate in QA and Engineering investigations as well as ME targeted improvements to equipment and systems
- Support general ME type activities as required
- Follow to ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards, processes and procedures
Shift:Tuesday to Friday, 6:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Location:fully on-site based in Kitchener, ON

The experience and skills we value:- Technologist Diploma with 2+ years’ industry experience
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Assist other Manufacturing Engineering Specialists on development projects as assigned
- Proactively engage in continuous improvement activities
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
- Self-starter and hands on experience a must
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
What will put you ahead:- Basic concept of design for assembly and test
- Understanding of basic principles for mechanical and electrical
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Automation experience is an asset
- Programming skills in VB, C/C++, LabView, Python considered an asset
