Role Summary

Trexity is seeking a Marketplace Operations Specialist, Courier Performance to ensure our courier marketplace runs efficiently and reliably. This is a net new role designed to strengthen our operations team and focus on improving courier performance and marketplace reliability.

You will monitor courier performance, identify operational gaps, and execute programs that improve delivery reliability and overall marketplace efficiency. You will work closely with couriers and internal teams to ensure deliveries are accepted quickly, completed on time, and supported by a balanced courier network.

This role is central to marketplace operations, ensuring merchants, customers, and couriers have a consistent and high-quality delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Performance

• Monitor courier marketplace performance to ensure timely acceptance and completion of deliveries.
• Track key metrics:
• Courier acceptance rates
• Delivery completion rates
• Delivery reliability and timeliness
• Overall marketplace fulfillment performance
• Investigate issues and implement practical solutions to improve performance.

Courier Performance Management

• Collaborate directly with couriers to support performance improvements across the network.
• Identify performance gaps and help couriers enhance reliability and service standards.
• Recognize and reinforce high-performing couriers while maintaining clear expectations.

Supply and Demand Optimization

• Monitor marketplace conditions across regions and time windows to ensure courier supply aligns with order demand.
• Identify shortages or excess coverage and support rebalancing initiatives.
• Maintain consistent delivery speed and reliability.

Operational Programs

Execute initiatives that improve courier engagement and marketplace performance, including:

• Courier incentive programs
• Performance nudges and engagement campaigns
• Targeted outreach to improve reliability and participation

Data and Marketplace Insights

• Use operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor performance patterns and operational friction points.
• Share insights with teams to support continuous improvement.

How You’ll Work

Collaborate across Trexity teams to support marketplace performance.

• Operations to monitor and improve marketplace metrics
• Product and Engineering to reduce operational friction
• Support to resolve courier issues
• Leadership to share operational insights and trends

Skills & Qualifications

• 2 – 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or marketplace management
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with operational data
• Ability to identify problems and implement practical solutions
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• High ownership and accountability
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Experience with courier, gig economy, or marketplace platforms is a plus

Tools & Technologies

• Spreadsheets and operational dashboards
• Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace
• CRM or messaging platforms (Customer.io, Braze, Iterable)
• Logistics or delivery platforms experience is a plus
