Your Opportunity:As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for managing and maintaining positive, multi-faceted relationships with patients and medical clinics throughout Alberta.
Job Duties:- Greeting all patients, and ensuring 'excellent customer service is maintained
- Answering phones and contacting patients
- Checking patients into Healthquest,
- Checking AHC numbers to ensure the number is valid
- Booking patients into the EMR system
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date patient charts
- Working closely with multiple medical specialists within our practice
- Sanitization of waiting rooms, exam rooms, and work space
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- and other administrative duties as assigned
Your Skills:- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma or Unit Clerk Certificate - a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with EMR system(s) a plus
- Excellent customer service with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
